David started his career in music rather early. He shocked his mother one day from the back seat of her 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass by providing an adequate vocal accompaniment to Love Me Do by The Beatles as it rattled it's way through the worn out radio speakers... this was at the age of three.
She realized quickly that her son might have a special interest in music and as soon as he was able to reach the keys, took him to piano lessons where he refused to study his etudes... leaning in favor of playing his own little creations for his frustrated teacher.
David also pursued drum and percussion and is considered a plus drummer citing influences such as Buddy Rich, Neil Peart and Stewart Copeland. He ultimately played several instruments for many rock and fusion groups while developing his personal tastes and musical identity.
Somewhere along the line, David picked up a guitar and found another very comfortable home. he is most often seen playing his shiny Paul Reed Smith delivering smoking lead riffs while fronting one of his bands The Manic Theatricals. His guitar influences are diverse, but a short list would include Eddie Van Halen, Andy Summers, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Brian Setzer.
David composed all of the music for his musical, Sally Spectre the Musical. The show enjoyed a seven week run in late 2009, a five week run in late 2011 and looks like it's on a path to be performed in theatres all over the country.
